Weekly Updates 8/10/2024

Hi Friends,

Well, my book has been out for a week, and there have been a few people who have picked it up, and for that I am most happy. But...I am not quite read to quit my day job ;)

Thought I might take some time to talk about where I am in the series, and what can be expected for future releases.

So...my confession, I am terrible with deadlines. Because of this, I did not wish to release any works, until I knew I could complete the next books in the series. For many who do not know, I wrote the Eye of Ebon, originally as a short story, back in the early 2000's, maybe late 1990's. I did not show it to the world until about 2006, when I sought a fantasy community and shared my work with them. I always knew the trajectory of the story, and was not surprised to see it blow up into a much larger tale. The sequel, the Promise of Eternity, took a very long time to write. Why? Well...kids mostly.

But I finished the Promise of Eternity, while I was recovering from surgery (cancer...nothing to worry about...), and forged ahead with The Wielder of the White Sword. Both books are complete, but are in need of the editing phase, which both have had very little of.

Currently, I am working on Book 4 of the series, Warriors of the Light, and am about 120K words into it. I expect it to go to around 250K. I think that might be completed before march of next year.

Book 5 lingers in my head, and has been for many years. I am highly motivated to complete the series, and expect it may all be done over the next two years. After which, I do have a SciFi series in my head as well. I think the current title, Way of the White Wardai, will stick, but that may be subject to change when I get into it.
