Weekly Update 8/18/2024

Hello Friends and Followers,

After some feedback, small corrections were made to Book 1, the Eye of Ebon, to fix a few typos. If anyone reading happens to find an error in the text, I would certainly appreciate having them pointed out to fix for other readers. At present, I have only been alerted to two, which have been fixed.

Readers trickle in, and I have not really started a full press marketing effort, but I love every one of them. I hope they enjoy, and come back for the complete story. (And for any readers looking in, Thank you so much for picking up my tale.)

Book 4: Well, writing is not exactly a quick process ;)

A week later and book 4 is still moving along. No unexpected changes to the schedule. Being an author means keeping things secret so as not to spoil things, but I will say, one of the characters many readers wanted to see more of was the Queen of Marindor, Karkella herself. She has a much bigger role in this book and her story is getting a lot of attention this week, and maybe for the next few weeks as well. The book follows many characters (some who are new, and some who have not been prominent before as well), and I think they will become favs too.

Queen Karkella did not get the role I thought she might in book 2, but she is back and strong in book 4. At present, I am hoping to complete the book and be out for beta and editing around March of next year.

Also this week, I submitted some smaller stories to the publication: 100 foot crow. Fingers crossed to see if they win acceptance. I probably won't hear from them for several weeks.

My hardback copies have finally arrived as well. I am setting a few aside for friends and family, but I also have to send one to the Library of Congress (to satisfy the LCCN requirements). They should have one soon.
